When do you make donuts?
Between our Fall Opening and the Saturday after Halloween (11/2), we make donuts on Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am - 4 pm. We’ll make donuts until the last person in line at 4 pm gets their order.
The donut room is closed starting the Sunday after Halloween, until January when we start making donuts on Saturdays from 9 am - noon, through the end of our Fall/Winter season.
When do you press cider?
Starting with our Fall Opening until the Sunday after Halloween, we press on Saturdays and Sundays starting around 9:30 am until we have as much cider as we need. We also press on one day during the week as needed.
Starting the second weekend in November we press only during the week as demand dictates.
It is important to note that we do not do this as a show. It is our real and entire production, and is done using Victorian era equipment. If we don’t need cider, or equipment is malfunctioning; we won’t be pressing cider and no one will be more disappointed than us.
When do you accept Holiday orders?
We accept Thanksgiving orders starting November 7th until November 23rd, the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving. You can place your Thanksgiving order for the Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. There are no bakery items available and no orders accepted on the Saturday and Sunday prior to Thanksgiving. We’re closed Thanksgiving Day through the following Tuesday.
We accept Christmas orders starting December 4th until December 20th. You can place your Christmas order for the 22nd, 23rd, or 24th. There are no bakery items available and no orders accepted on the 21st. We’re closed on Christmas Day and 12/26.

What pies are available for Thanksgiving and Christmas?
Due to increased demand at the Holidays we have to reduce our menu to keep up. At Thanksgiving you can order Apple, Dutch Apple, no sugar added Apple, Pumpkin, Pecan, Blueberry, Dutch Blueberry, and Mince. You can also order dinner rolls by the dozen for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
At Christmas we add Cherry, Dutch Cherry, and our Citrus Raisin Babka to Thanksgiving options.
When do you have Grape Juice?
It depends on the growing and harvesting season each year.
For our 92nd season, Sept. 2024, we have batches available starting 9/28 and 10/5. They generally get sweeter the second week. When we run out depends on demand, we have it on a first come, first served basis.
Do you ship your products?
We do not. The only place to get Hollenbeck’s products is at the Mill in lovely Virgil, NY.
Do you accept credit/debit cards or other electronic forms of payment?
We do, we offer dual pricing, with the cash price being 4% lower than the posted electronic forms of payment prices.
Do you take orders for pie?
Yes! We always encourage you to order pies, that way we definitely have the pie you want. While we try to have pie all of the time, the varieties available fluctuate based on other orders, ingredient availability, the customers before, and a variety of other factors. That means that sometimes we sell out of certain varieties and even sell out entirely. The only way to be sure we have exactly what you want, when you want it is to order ahead. We ask that you place your order at least 24 hours in advance, we can’t take same day orders.
What kinds of pie do you make?
During the normal course of the season (outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas Order Pickup) we make Apple, Dutch Apple, Pumpkin, Blueberry, Dutch Blueberry, Cherry, Dutch Cherry, Peach, Dutch Peach, Strawberry Rhubarb, Dutch Strawberry Rhubarb, Raspberry, Blackberry, Pecan, and a No Sugar Added Apple (uses erythritol). Starting in December we run our “Forbidden Pie” series, with each pie available for a limited time only, with a schedule available in our Winter Schedule.
Can I order online?
Unfortunately we are unable to accept any orders or payment online.
Will you donate to our cause?
Potentially! But not without a specific ask, it is really hard to say yes or no to a request for "whatever". If you have a specific ask we'd be happy to consider it, and may donate all or some portion of it. Knowing your needs or desires is the critical piece of information to determine what we can donate.
I have a question you haven’t answered.
That’s a statement, not a question, but you can reach us to answer your question by stopping in or calling during our normal business hours, or reaching out via the Contact tab here on the website.
